Client & Job Manager - Eastern BOP

Our client is a heavy mechanical engineering service company specialising in component manufacturing, maintenance and re-engineering services including machining, balancing, fabrication, fitting, design, draughting and project management. They are a one stop shop and ideally located to service central North Island regions and overseas projects.
  

This is a key operational role responsible for managing client jobs end-to-end — from initial site visit and scoping through to delivery and invoicing.
This position will take ownership of servicing an established client base (Oji, and WML), ensuring responsive, high-quality service and efficient job delivery.
The role suits someone with a strong engineering background who is looking to step off the tools and into a client-facing, coordination-focused position.

   Key Responsibilities

• Client & Job Management
  • Manage jobs from initial enquiry through to completion and invoicing
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Ensure all work is delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard
• Site Visits & Scoping
  • Attend client sites to assess requirements and provide practical solutions
  • Gather accurate information to support estimating and job planning
• Estimating Support
  • Work closely with the office team to assist with job pricing and scope definition
  • Ensure all required details are captured upfront to enable accurate estimates
• Job Delivery & Coordination
  • Oversee workflow and ensure jobs are completed right the first time
  • Coordinate with the workshop and internal teams as required
  • Monitor progress and proactively resolve issues
• Breakdowns & After-Hours Support
  • Be available for occasional after-hours calls and breakdown coordination
  • Respond quickly to urgent client needs and organise appropriate support
