Operations Manager - Residential Developer

We are now seeking applications from experienced Operations or Construction Managers looking to step up to manage their busy Auckland Central and Southern region. The role of Operations Manager is primarily to implement & oversee the right processes and practices across the Auckland branch. It also has a significant strategic component with responsibilities including ensuring continuous performance improvement, business improvement, procurement of resources and securing compliance. Leadership and mentoring features strongly in this position with the successful candidate expected to be able to develop and implement best practice. This role is a crucial link between the Directors and the company team leaders and other members of management.
In addition to the above, this role will see you developing and implementing operational policies and procedures, promoting a successful company culture, and liaising with senior stakeholders, clients and government departments.
We are seeking applicants with the following:
- Demonstrable management experience
- Experienced in leadership and mentoring
- Strong construction or technical/building background (Multi level 2-3 storey residential dwellings is a big advantage).
- Excellent relationship building and management skills
- Be a strategic thinker and able to implement objectives
- Excellent analytical and financial management skills
- Have a strong commercial acumen
