Our client is an awarding winning, hugely successful and long established regional Commercial Construction company with projects on throughout the Golden Triangle. They invest in their people and are lead by a very strong management team.
We are open to variety of construction related skills and experience levels from Project management, civil engineering fields or architectural backgrounds.
This role will report directly to the Senior Pre Construction Manager and join an existing pre construction team based in Tauranga. The successful candidate could hit the ground running and be allocated suitable projects in pre construction phase to match their confidence and experience, or be initially assisting the Pre Construction Manager in the pre construction phase of commercial projects with a variety of related tasks including but not limited to the following:
- Building Methodology documentation
- Design Input Management,
- client liaison,
- procurement,
- Strategic Analysis, Technical Analysis, Planning and Implementation
- cost control,
- construction planning and methodology,
- Risk Management
- shop drawing reviews,
- commercial variation claims
- Quality control among many other tasks.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need exceptional communication coupled with technical building smarts, assuming at least 5 years experience (ideally 5 +) with a main contractor in commercial or civil construction as a Junior PM or similar or a civil engineering consultancy or PM consultancy, or architectural firm with commercial design experience and be a driven and focused individual who thrives on the idea of being part of a growing business and working in a team environment.
It will be expected that you have construction related qualifications either in Construction Management, Engineering, architectural or Surveying at Bachelor degree level 7 or higher.
Key responsibilities:
• Liaise with clients on a regular basis
• Work closely with a number of external consultants including council and engineers.
• Accurately document clients' needs
• Assist Senior pre-construction manager with day to day tasks
• Contract administration including preparing contracts

• The applicant will need to be friendly with a high level of attention to detail.
• Well presented and professional
• Proactive with the ability to work alone & as part of a team
