Survey Technician - Hamilton

We are seeking applications from Survey Technicians with NZ experience to join this multi-disciplinary consulting firm based in Hamilton. This is an opportunity to work within a New Zealand organisation with offices in the North and South Island. The Hamilton office is continuing to build its local reputation and have been picking up work from their competitors by offering an excellent service that includes Surveying, Planning and Civil Engineering within their portfolio. The office is continuing to push forward with new jobs and they are putting strategic hire's in the business for 2026.

You will be working alongside a survey team  and be expected to work autonomously and without supervision. Your role will be predominantly field work including including topographical, land transfer, height to boundary and building set-outs as well as surveying processing and calculations and information searches. Projects are varied and range from small lots to multi-lot developments.

What my client needs from you:

• A tertiary qualification in Land Surveying
• Ideally at least 2 years NZ experience within a consultancy environment
• Understanding of robotic total stations, Land Online and survey software
• Knowledge of Leica survey equipment and 12d software
• Be able to work without supervision
• Understanding of broader business issues beyond core disciplines
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to fit into a team 
• NZ Permanent Residency or Citizenship
