Senior Civil/Project Engineer - Napier

Our client is a successful engineering consultancy who require a permanent Civil Engineer or Project Engineer for a particular land development project in the Hawkes Bay. The company specialise in land development projects associated with commercial and residential, undertaking earthworks, drainage, roading and general civil works. Working alongside the civil design team, your role will be predominantly site based with some exposure to civil design. 

We require a the right amount experience as an engineer that will see you hit the ground running and you need to have a good understanding and experience of working on a land development project. This is not a position where you might be pigeon-holed specialising in one aspect of a large project, in this role you will hands on covering a number of different aspects to a project where no day is the same.

In the role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

• Construction monitoring
• Design Review
• Ensuring the budget is being met
• QA work
• Processing progress claims and variations
• Programming and sorting out coordination issues, clashes on plans
• Some sub-contractor/consultant managemen

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates that are currently in or have held Senior Project Engineer or Senior Civil Engineering roles and worked on a variety of civil projects. You will need to be able to show specific examples of civil projects that you have worked on.
