Intermediate Structural Engineer (Christchurch OR Auckland)

Our client is a highly respected Christchurch structural engineering consultancy seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join their experienced and growing team. The role will be based out of the Christchurch office but there could also be the opportunity for an Auckland based engineer as the company are expanding its North Island presence.

This opportunity is ideally suited to an engineer with a passion for industrial structures and commercial new-build projects. The business has developed an excellent reputation for delivering complex structural solutions and is frequently appointed as the Lead Consultant on larger multidisciplinary developments, providing engineers with broad project exposure and the opportunity to work closely with clients from concept through to completion.

Working alongside some of Christchurch's most experienced structural engineers, you will receive outstanding mentoring while taking on increasing technical responsibility across a wide variety of challenging projects.

The role will be based out of the Christchurch office but there could also be the opportunity for an Auckland based engineer as the company are expanding its North Island presence.

To be considered for this role you will have:

• A Bachelor of Engineering (BE) from a New Zealand university.
• A strong academic transcript demonstrating solid technical ability.
• Three or more years' experience within a New Zealand structural engineering consultancy.
• Experience on industrial OR commercial new-build projects.
• A sound understanding of New Zealand design standards and construction practices.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and project teams.
• A genuine desire to develop your career within a technically strong consultancy.
