Structural Engineering Team Leader - Queenstown

We are working with a highly respected engineering consultancy that is continuing to expand its presence in Queenstown. Due to sustained growth and an exciting pipeline of work, they are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer who is ready to take the next step into a leadership position.

This is a genuine opportunity to build something of your own. You will lead the growth of the structural team in Queenstown, mentor engineers, strengthen client relationships and play a key role in the ongoing success of the business.
With strong support from an established national engineering team, you will have the autonomy to influence the direction of the office while delivering a broad range of residential and commercial projects throughout the region.

To be successful you will ideally have:

• A BE (Hons) in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised university
• Proven experience delivering structural engineering projects within New Zealand
• Strong knowledge of NZ Building Codes, seismic design and structural standards
• CPEng, or be well advanced towards achieving it
• Experience mentoring or leading engineers with a genuine passion for developing people
• Commercial awareness and the ability to build long-term client relationships
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to represent the business with clients and stakeholders
• Experience managing projects from concept through to detailed design and construction support

This role would suit a technically strong Senior Structural Engineer who enjoys working closely with clients and is looking for a genuine leadership opportunity in one of New Zealand's most desirable locations.
