Commercial Construction | Leadership Role | Growth Focus
Lead from the front in a key leadership role with an award-winning commercial construction business experiencing strong growth across the Waikato.
This is a newly created position, giving you the opportunity to take ownership of the region — driving performance, building capability, and securing a strong forward workload.
The Opportunity
This is more than just an operational role — you’ll sit as a key member of the leadership team, working closely with the Directors to shape strategy, drive profitability, and build a high-performing team.
You’ll take ownership of both the delivery and growth of the Waikato region, ensuring projects are executed to a high standard while identifying and securing future opportunities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and develop a team of Project Managers, QSs and support staff
- Drive forward workload through strong relationships and business development
- Contribute to strategic planning, budgets, and overall business performance
- Monitor financial performance, margins, and reporting to Directors
- Oversee multiple commercial construction projects to ensure delivery, quality, and programme targets are met
- Strengthen relationships with key clients, consultants, and subcontractors
- Champion a high-performance culture across the business
- Ensure strong QA and Health & Safety outcomes across all projects
What We’re Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in commercial construction
- Background managing projects in the $10M–$30M range
- Experience running multiple projects and managing teams
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive margin and performance
- Strategic thinker with the ability to contribute at leadership level
- Confident communicator who can build relationships across all levels
